I denna rapport behandlas en strategi för systemutveckling som kallas för evolutionär prototyping. Evolutionär prototyping innebär att utveckla system i inkrementella bitar där system får växa till ett driftsystem för vidare evolution. Det finns också andra former av prototyping som explorativ, experimentell och kooperativ prototyping där prototyperna kastas bort och ett nytt system konstrueras. Många metodologier finns för att stödja processen att utveckla informationssystem. På grund av tillgången till CASE-verktyg och fjärde generationens utvecklingsverktyg har evolutionär prototyping blivit allt mer populärt i praktiken.

Denna uppsats avser att undersöka om systemutvecklingsmetoderna RUP och Prototyping kan komplettera och kombineras med varandra. Vidare avser uppsatsen att undersöka hur de fungerar i praktiken men också hur UML och Prototyping kan visualisera och säkra kravlistan för processtyrning inom läkemedelsindustrin.Fallstudien som denna uppsats innehåller är gjord på ett läkemedelsföretag i Sverige. Vid tillverkning av läkemedel användes olika former av pappersbaserad dokumentation som signeras manuellt. Företaget har idag bland annat ingen kontroll över om signeringen utförs under eller efter tillverkningen och enligt GMP strider detta mot de regler och lagar som styr läkemedelstillverkningen. För att hitta de krav användarna ställer på ett kontrollstyrningssystem har både observationer och intervjuer utförts på plats..

Vid utveckling av datoriserade informationssystem är kvaliteten och därmed kostnaden på slutprodukten i hög grad beroende av hur väl man har lyckats att realisera kundens krav och önskemål på det tänkta systemet. För att kunna realisera kundens krav måste först de krav som kunden har på systemet komma till kännedom för utvecklaren. Kunden är inte heller alltid förmögen att ställa samtliga krav då han eller hon inte vet vad som är möjligt att kräva av systemet. Som stöd för utvinningen av kundkrav finns ett antal olika metoder och ansatser. Samtliga av dessa metoder har dock brister och begränsande egenskaper som påverkar deras effektivitet för att utvinna samtliga kundkrav för ett tänkt informationssystem.Den metod som kritiskt analyseras i denna studie är prototyping.

 Agila metoder är en relativt ny ansats inom programvaruutvecklingsområdet och ses som en reaktion mot plandrivna metoder som har svårt att hantera oförutsägbara och skiftande krav. Agila metoder förespråkar nära och frekvent kundkommunikation och iterativt arbete för att ständigt kunna skapa, prioritera och verifiera krav. Dock uppmärksammar inte agila metoder aspekter som berör programvarans användbarhet. Syftet med rapporten är därför att integrera användarcentrerad design för att öka fokus mot programvarans användbarhet hos agila metoder. Användarcentrerad design är en process som fokuserar på användbarhet genom att användarna är en central aspekt i utvecklingsprocessen.

Denna uppsats avser att belysa frågan varför prototyper är ett viktigt verktyg i en utvecklingsprocess av ett mobilt system. Fördelar och nackdelar som verktyget kan innebära behandlas och olika tillvägagångssätt beskrivs. Arbetet med detta baseras i ett praktiskt utvecklingsprojekt på IT-kunsultföretaget Citerus. Projektuppgiften var där att genom en informationflödesanalys definiera olika flaskhalsar i informationsflödet på olika hotell för att sedan föreslå ett effektiviserande system. Projektet koncentrerades vidare på städpersonalen och deras arbete.

This thesis presents the theory behind prototyping and user interviews as parts of requirements analysis. It further discusses how these were used in the development of a budget planning application. The implemented Web-based solution uses a new component-based design rooted in a Model-View-Controller architecture. The purpose of this essay is to discuss different memory techniques used by pianists so I can feel secure while performing during concerts. How do pianists learn to memorise music? According to me, are certain memorisation techniques more effective than others? Do pianists use different methods depending on repertoire? To find my answers, I have studied two other pianists? outcomes on the subject as well as applied my chosen memorising techniques on five pieces from different epochs. These techniques include visualising my fingers when they play on the keyboard, listening to the pieces many times, practicing short specific parts one hand at a time, singing the melody while playing the accompaniment, studying the scores without playing, as well as analysing the harmonic sequences..

Techniques used in the building of a number of ships from the Mediterranean will be presented in this paper. The two techniques thnat will be discussed are shell-based technique and skeleton-basedtechnique. An attempt to clearify and delineate the transition between these two techniques will be made. The possible reasons for transition will then be described and discussed. The development ofthe techniques is going to be identified with help from four wrecks by analyzing their edge joineriesand this facts will be used as a basis for a chronological presentation.

In this thesis some different modulation schemes for xDSL-techniques are compared. The investigated techniques are ADSL, G.lite, ADSL2, HDSL, SHDSL and VDSL. The modulation methods used are DMT, CAP and different versions of PAM. Several broadband techniques also use Trellis Coded Modulation (TCM) to increase the coding gain of the transmission. For each one of the different modulation methods the signal-to-noise ratio is calculated for generating a bit error rate probability of 10-7.

Vid utveckling av nya system finns det flera olika modeller/metoder att använda sig av, till exempel prototyping eller vattenfallsmodellen. Denna uppsats beskriver hur utvecklingen avett webbaserat system för registrering av datorer kan ske med hjälp av vattenfallsmetoden. Fokus på detta arbete ligger förutom själva utvecklandet av registret också på dokumenteringen av de olika stegen som följts enligt vattenfallsmodellen. Detta arbeteförsöker också svara på om denna modell är lämplig att använda vid utvecklingen av liknande system. Different techniques for precision agriculture have been available during the last decade. Some of them are more widely used than others. The main purpose of this thesis was to investigate the different attitudes to precision agriculture that exists among farmers and advisors in Sweden. Eight advisors and sixteen farmers were asked for their opinion of a number of specific techniques for precision agriculture, such as yield-mapping, precision liming, the Yara Nitrogen Sensor and site-specific fertilization with phosphorous and potassium. They were also asked to describe the way in which the counselling in Swedish agriculture is used and also about it's importance for the adaptation of new techniques. The high costs are mentioned to be one of the most important reasons why precision agriculture hasn't been more widely spread. Several farmers refer to their farms as too small to bear the costs that come with the techniques. The individual interest for technique among the potential users plays an important role.

Clustered Columnstore Indexes (CCI) and In-Memory Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) are two new techniques that were introduced with Microsoft?s new database management system SQL Server 2014.The thesis analyzes these two techniques, describes the theory behind them and also the background information that needs to be known to understand more of the new techniques. Performance tests of the new techniques have been performed to see how much faster response time we can get and less storage we need to use where the result is represented by performance diagrams and a compression diagram. This thesis is a cooperative work with a company called Trimma and the result is used as support to decide if these new techniques could be of advantage for the company.The test consists of five test queries with different purposes. The result is illustrated by diagrams that show the result and another diagram that shows how much the data gets compressed with the different techniques.
